Vodka smuggled in a scarf.
It amuses me that I’m 18 years old and I still have to hide alcohol in my own house. But when I say that I’m 18 it suddenly seems very young. Sometimes I feel surprised that I’m under 20, which is probably rather odd.
I love people who are more than you expect.
Mistaken first impressions are sometimes the best kind of mistakes.
Upstairs Downstairs.
WHAT A FANTASTIC PROGRAMME.
I hope that the BBC renew it for a proper series, because it is everything I want in a programme (pre-WW2 Britain, strong cast, romance, dispute). I spent the majority of the third episode in tears and with One Tree Hill coming to an end, I definitely need a new programme to cry to.
There is nothing like a good piece of British period drama.
I've been watching Upstairs Downstairs over the...
and was extremely disappointed when I discovered that one of my favourite characters - a woman who rebels against the aristocracy that raised her - is in fact a Fascist rebel. Sadly joining her is the most attractive man in the programme.
Therefore I transferred my affections to a woman from Hamburg - but she went and died. Now I’m going to have to choose from characters who slightly...
You tell someone you love them and they go...
TYPICAL.

Day Seven: Four turn offs.
1. Dirty beards - especially when combined with balding heads. Bald I can just about handle, but when balding one shouldn’t try to hide it. You buy a wig, or you shave it off. I do not want to see your comb over. Or your lunch spilled in your chin hair. Disgusting.
2. People who completely lack intelligence. This strongly includes people who disregard history, books, and are in anyway...
It is with envy that I gazed upon my grandparents...
Day Six: Five people who mean a lot (in no order...
The fairest way I can think of doing this is by looking at the last five people I sent texts to. That way I’m not purposely leaving anyone out.
1. Josef
2. Lucy
3. Curtain
4. Nicola
5. Lucy M.
There we go. Five people who mean a lot, and to be fair they all do so that works out quite well. Maybe I should add an explanation but I can’t be bothered. They know I love them.
I need to have another day of calm.
I might turn off my phone, tidy my room and then lie in the middle of the floor for an entire day. Noone will have to talk to me, I won’t have to think and no emotions will be involved.
It will just be me and my carpet.

At least I can accept that I regretted it. It was a terrible decision.
It did taste awful but I don’t really care about it enough to regret it. Considering I did drink vodka cuppa soup - which I don’t regret because I actually enjoyed it.
Day Five: Six things you wish you’d never done.
I’m not too sure about this because I try and live by a ‘no regrets’ policy. Not to mention the fact that I’m quite a boring person so I don’t do much anyway. Instead of this list I’ll have a rant at you about why you shouldn’t regret things.
I personally believe that no matter how bad things get, even if a mistake you make alters your entire life -...
I have moved on to novel number two, and decided...
I have about two weeks left before I return to uni and so far I haven’t done anything hugely productive. This is partially due to the fact that I’ve needed some recovery time, as well as the giant celebration of christmas.
Now I’m ready to rock and roll. The next few weeks will hopefully include the following:
1. Reading several books until I feel educated again.
2....
I had a pleasant day today.
Purchased these bad boys. They were expensive but i’ve been pining after them since September and my logic is that if I want to marry a pair of shoes, then purchasing them isn’t the end of the world.
I spent most of my day in Manchester visiting some relatives, which I always enjoy more than I expect to. I think I have an pre-concieved idea that all relative visits will be bad, but...
Day Four: Seven things that cross your mind a lot....
1. If I hide my phone from myself then maybe when I go back and get it I’ll have loads of texts.
2. I quite often sing people’s names to myself because I’m so happy to have friends, which sounds creepy but I do it all the same. So they cross my mind a lot.
3. Life stuff such as politics hovers in my mind a lot.
4. Various songs.
5. Insecurity.
6. A wish that I was...

I just watched the Doctor Who Christmas Special.
It was quite enjoyable - mainly due to Matt Smith’s comical timing. He does come out with some brilliant lines. The storyline itself was intriguing as well, and I adored the steampunk styling to pieces.
However for a christmas special the story was perhaps a little too Moffat and not enough Davies. Of course, I personally prefer Moffat’s complex storylines and his ability to create...
I feel sad now I've nearly finished reading this...
Part of me really wants to reach the conclusion, but I also want it to carry on forever.
There’s always a sense of foreboding when I get near to the end of a book. I think it’s partially to do with the fact that the book suddenly becomes heavy and awkward to hold once you get down to the last few chapters. Most of the time the book also becomes subjected to a bit of wear and tear and...
I really wish I lived in the 1940's.
I’m so very nostalgic for that time period. People always give me weird looks when I say that I’m in love with it because obviously it wasn’t the most pleasant decade, but there is something very romantic about the thought of it.
I’ve tried everything I can to fill my mind with the past. I read books, I write books, I watch films. I even have a huge book of photographs...
Day Three: Eight ways to win your heart.
1. Early morning texts that I can wake up to.
2. Intelligence. I like meaningful natters.
3. Geekiness. A love for video games/comics/books/films all amount to big Megan appreciation.
4. Commendable hair.
5. Pleasant fashion sense.
6. A sense of humour.
7. The mastery of a musical instrument.
8. Respect and an interest in things I do with my life.
I need to change my phone contract.
I keep going over by ridiculous amounts, and I can’t afford it anymore. It isnt even like I’m paying for anything good because my phone is shit. It was an out of date model when I got it a year a half ago, so god only knows what it is now.
The worst thing about reading books with strong...
is that sometimes they make me feel inadequate. The best example I can give is probably the works of Ken Follett. He is an absolutely phenomenal writer, who manages to create characters who have so many dimensions that they live outside of the page. They could so easily be part of the real world.
However, his female protagonists often have this incredible sense of ‘self’ - the...
Day Two: Nine things about yourself.
1. This is what I look like:
2. I study drama at Manchester University.
3. I am a member of a family that calls themselves ‘The Holly Courtiers’. There are 16 of us and we are best friends.
4. I have written several novels.
5. I have twin sisters.
6. I enjoy reading a huge amount. I would have studied english literature if I wasn’t doing drama.
7. I’m a...

I need to sleep. I sent a weird texhvto people. I love being here even if I’m too shy to participate. Observing is fine.
I miss some of my friends. Not all of them though because I’m learning who I really love properly. Yes I am.
Time for my next drink.
Merry Christmas.
I just remembered at Holly Court christmas dinner,...
we all held onto a cracker in each hand until the whole table was prepared. Then we pulled them at the same time.
It was an awesome 16 person moment of cool.
Day One: Ten things you want to say to ten people...
1. I think I’ve been more open with you than anyone in my life. Not that I intended it to be that way, it’s more because the last few months have really made me question myself, but I’m grateful it was you who was on the receiving end. I’m glad you took me in and I’m glad we live doors away from one another. I’m glad I can abuse you.
2. I’m trying to...
I used to have a friend.
Some called her Curtain.
We met on tumblr, then we were friends, then uni friends, then flatmates.
Now that’s over.
Taking back what I said about Megan
Taking back my video of Khristine adoration.

Hahahaha that was my reaction as well. Everything I’m given delights me because I’ve been so poor and devoid of treats for months.
